Certain scholars, in fact, believe that Oriental rugs probably existed even before the building of the Egyptian Pyramids and the fabled palaces of Babylon.

Romani Rugs LLC was etablished in 1985 by Cyrus Kashi, with the companys name refering to its specialization in Romanian Rugs. The company started in Manhattan and soon moved into the ORICA building in Secaucus, NJ, where most wholesellers of oriental rugs are located. Rizwan Ansari and his brother Shamsu come from a family in India whose design, color and production talents have been passed from generation to generation. In 2007 the brothers set-up a distribution center for their rug and textiles in the United States.
